DB3 are appointed to provide Argyll and Bute Council with design support for a new leisure centre on the Helensburgh Waterfront Development, RIBA Stages 3 to 6.
The ambitious project will see us working in partnership with civil, structural and geotechnical engineers to deliver the complex and technical project. This will involve designing and building a new leisure centre featuring a 25 metre main pool with 6 lanes, Studio Pool with moveable floor, studios and gyms.
The project also includes flood defences and additional environmental improvements. These enhancements to the current site include better lighting, public open spaces and a walkway around the pier, a prominent feature of the town.
In their article Argyll and Bute Council confirm that work continues to move forward following the announcement from the Scottish Government that construction sites can remain open under the stricter Covid guidelines.
The assembled team from DB3 Architecture is delighted to be involved in the delivery of this exciting and prestigious project and look forward to working collaboratively with the wider project team in all aspects of project procurement and delivery.
