Head of Glasgow Office

Bob Ramage

Dip Arch RIBA RIAS

Bob Ramage, a product of the “Part Time” course at the Mackintosh School of Architecture graduated in 1987 and has been involved in architectural practice within the city of Glasgow since 1980.

He started his career as a 17 year old architectural apprentice within the offices of William Nimmo and Partners Glasgow.

Since joining the practice in 2011, Bob has been responsible for the development of the Glasgow studio and the Scottish business and has been instrumental in the delivery of all of DB3’s projects north of the border, namely The Helensburgh Waterfront Development, The Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre and Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre in Fife. Bob is a respected member of our team and a valued mentor particularly for his knowledge and strength in depth across all sectors (a diplomatic way of saying he’s been around the block a few times).

Bob has a passion for his chosen vocation and relishes the “leadership role” that delivers consistently high quality buildings on time and on budget.

For the benefit of aspiring architects he remembers the days when the business of “architecture was a paying hobby” now he is often heard to say “It’s just a hobby… but I will do all in my power to change that”.
