Jon Mawson is a Senior Associate at DB3 and based at our Leeds studio. He has had more than 25 years post qualification experience as an Architect, the vast majority of which has been concerned with public swimming pool and sports facility design. Over this time, Jon has developed an extensive knowledge of this complex and specialist field and he is now recognised as a leading expert in sports and leisure design.

Jon has taken a leading role in the practices long standing commission to Sport England, which have included authoring guidance documents, acting as technical advisors and undertaking post completion monitoring of Lottery funded sports projects.

Jon is a keen bee keeper, unfortunately with several hundred thousand bees in his garden and his increasingly sever reactions to bee stings he can often turn up looking like the Michelin man.
