Ryan Meadows

BA Hons, PGDip, RIBA

Ryan has more than 17 years’ of experience, and is an enthusiastic Architect with a love of what he does for a living; from the creative process, to problem solving and the practical application of design.  He has experience in logistics, residential, commercial, leisure and healthcare sectors, specialising in design for dementia and mental health. Ryan is a keen advocate of service user and stakeholder engagement throughout the design process to properly define the brief and ensure a finished design that the meets all the Client’s needs.

In addition to his architectural experience, Ryan brings an enthusiasm, passion and wealth of knowledge for health and wellbeing from his operational experience within the leisure sector. Prior to retraining as an architect Ryan worked in the health and fitness industry for 15 years in both public and private sector health clubs working at all levels from exercise instructor and personal trainer to operational club manager.

The combination of with his experience in delivering healthcare projects and his work within the health and fitness industry has given Ryan a unique insight into the importance of accessibility to health, fitness and wellbeing facilities for all sectors of the community and its impact on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

A keen fitness enthusiast, Ryan has had a varied sporting past including playing for London Irish and competing in Latin and ballroom at Blackpool.  He is one of the few people who fits perfectly in the venn diagram of Irish rugby fans and huge strictly fans.
