Project > Lloyds Banking Group Framework

Corporate spaces for the world of Banking & Finance

DB3 have worked as on the Lloyds Banking Group Framework since 2008, which involves the refurbishment of the Bank’s offices and branches nationally.

During that time we have carried out feasibility studies and full office refurbishment of nearly 100 offices nationally.

We have also designed and delivered a number of refurbishments for retail branches across the UK, working closely together with our client Wates Smartspace.

Feasibility studies

Feasibility studies

During a period of consolidation the client identified office premises at various locations around the country that were to be decommissioned and the staff relocated to office space in other buildings. We surveyed all locations and reported back on their conditions and space standards compliance. These feasibility studies lead on to full relocation projects, some over multiple sites. They involved space planning of office areas in line with the clients own Group Office Standards and design principles.

The proposed layouts were analysed to ensure that ratios of areas were as economical as possible and incorporated work/desk spaces, touchdown hot desking, welfare and break-out zones. They were also analysed for compliance with the British Standard for fire safety work, the British Standard for Sanitary Provision and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations.

The outcome

The outcome

The final product was a full category B fit out using the clients own preselected furniture choices and colour palette. HSE Lloyds office design standards work on a density of 8m2 per person and 1 desk to 1 .2 colleagues with recommended ratio of support areas and staff facilities.  Daylight ingress was optimised with open plan workstations and glazed office partitions where feasible. Standardised technology with VOiP connections allowed flexible workstations and desk sharing.
