Set in the heart of Woolwich, this major new development will deliver a landmark leisure facility aimed at supporting healthier, more active lifestyles for residents of all ages. Spanning 12,800 square metres over three storeys, the centre is on track to become one of the UK’s largest urban leisure destinations.

This new facility forms a central part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s wider regeneration strategy for Woolwich, offering a modern, inclusive space that promotes wellbeing and community connection. Given the site’s spatial limitations, the contractor, Morgan Sindall, is implementing a vertically stacked design — placing dry-side facilities such as the gym, cardio spaces and sports halls on the upper levels, with the swimming pools and training facilities at ground level.

Facilities will include:

• A 25 metre, eight lane competition pool, a full depth adjustable training pool and a leisure pool with waterslides

• A health suite and spa, including a sauna and steam room

• Fitness suites, squash courts and multi-use exercise studios

• A six court sports hall and a dedicated five a side hall

• Accessible and adaptable community spaces
