We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Architect to join our growing Manchester Studio and run jobs in a variety of sectors including residential, as well as include Mixed Use and Town Centre Regeneration.
Candidates should be ambitious with an excellent work ethic and be highly motivated. The successful individual must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in UK construction industry and be able to demonstrate strong capability in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and BIM Level II.
Project Architect Requirements:
- experience working traditionally on the client side of a contract
- experience in producing tender and construction packages of drawing information accurately under very tight deadlines
- worked in the UK construction / design industry for a minimum of 2+ years as an architect;
- a range of sector experience ideally from Commercial to Masterplanning
- willing to run and project manage large projects, working both independently on drawing packages, and managing assistants where necessary to ensure quality control of issued information;
- able to audit the design and identify inconsistencies, discrepancies and missing information and record, report and track the close-out of these items;
- good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the Planning / Building Regulations application process;
- capable of robust UK construction detailing;
- excellent communication skills: spoken and written;
- be based in Manchester with networking experience within the industry, which is part of this role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Principal Designer, ideally with an architectural background who is keen to develop the next stage of their career in our busy London studio and support our current projects.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven track record within construction and occupation Health and Safety, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates should be degree qualified with relevant and demonstrable experience within the construction industry. Design Risk Management skills and Principal Designer/CDM professional qualifications and/or memberships are essential.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day delivery of CDM advisory services across a variety of projects and sectors;
- Undertaking Health and Safety Audits;
- Preparing site constraint reports and assessing significant and high-risk hazards;
- Collation of Pre-Construction Information (PCI);
- Preparation and review of key CDM documents including risk registers;
- Design risk reviews of new build, fitting out and alteration including fixture review;
- Apply CDM and H&S knowledge to ensure compliance and positive CDM changes;
- Assist those appointed as duty holders to develop the Project Specific Works Information and Pre-Construction Information (PCI) as Principal Designer.
Desired Skills and Expertise
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations;
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate or working towards is desirable but not essential;
- IOSH Membership desirable (minimum ‘Associate’ level);
- Full driving license and your own vehicle;
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders;
- Keen to further yourself professionally (CPD);
- Retail, residential or commercial sectors experience is desirable;
- Delivery of work outputs within set time frames;
- Strong IT capabilities including working experience of Microsoft Office.

The Role

Develop site experience whilst shadowing senior engineer to provide condition surveys, installation progress reports, witnessing of commissioning and snagging of schemes.

Candidates should be ambitious with an excellent work ethic and be highly motivated. The successful individual must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the UK construction industry and be able to demonstrate strong capability in the reading of technical drawings, NBS specifications and a good knowledge of the Building Regulations (England/Wales).
Role Requirements:

• willing to work both independently, and alongside project architects/managers and assist where necessary to ensure quality control of issued information;
